There are many studios offering Pilates in barcelona offering pilates classes such as Mat reformer, Pregnancy and post parto. Below are some frequently asked questions to help you get started!

Q. How often should I do Pilates?
It is possible to take Pilates clases from once a week to once a day, but twice a week is common. It is advisable that weekly pilates classes should be supplemented with some self training at home where possible. Q. How long until I see the benefits?
Joseph Pilates himself stated, ”In ten sessions, you will feel the difference; in 20 you will see the difference; and in 30 you will have a whole new body.” Most people do start to feel a difference after 10 sessions. They say that they are walking taller and move more freely. The more you do Pilates the more you will see and feel the shape of your body change! My pilates students in Barcelona who regularly practise pilates state that they can see the difference within 6 weeks.

Q. Is there an age limit to do Pilates?
It is suitable for anyone, irrespective of age. Pilates is relative new to Barcelona and the grey generation, Many people start doing Pilates to work against the body’s natural decline from getting older, other´s start because they have reached ‘a certain age’. Older clients still might have to ask medical advice before taking up Pilates and ease into it more gently. However, people practice Pilates into their eighties and nineties. SimplyBePilates offers pilates in Barcelona for mature clients. Sometimes the older generation prefer reformer pilates as the ability to change the intensity of the exercise is easily controlled. As Joseph Pilates put it, ‘If, at the age of 30, you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If, at 60, you are supple and strong, then you are young.’ Pilates in Barcelona for all ages!

You should check with your doctor before doing any kind of exercise during pregnancy.
